Now, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the interview that Mike Colter did with ComingSoon.net a few months back in which he claimed that he hadn't been contacted by Marvel Studios "whatsoever" for a possible return as Luke Cage in the MCU. Here's what the actor said in that interview:
I got to say, I rarely think well-nigh it in the sense of what could be or will exist, I know fans are eager to run into something with the character…I know I established him and it was an award to exercise that, just I don't know what the future holds, I'm only in my mode of doing Evil right now and a few films on hiatus. If something happens, I'd love to have a conversation with them, but for now I'm not holding my breath, I'm happy either way, it was a good run.
